Tulane University Psychology Clinic for Children and Adolescents

Welcome

The Tulane University Psychology Clinic for Children and Adolescents is a university-based psychological clinic providing families in the greater New Orleans and surrounding areas with affordable, evidence-based mental health services. The Clinic serves as a training site for the APA-Accredited School Psychology Doctoral Program at Tulane University and is staffed by graduate students under the supervision of licensed psychologists. Through their training in the Clinic, students gain experience in evidence-based assessment and treatment in child and adolescent mental health.

Mission of the Clinic

The mission of the Tulane University Psychology Clinic for Children and Adolescents is threefold:

  1. To provide low-cost services for under-resourced populations. The clinic utilizes an income-adjusted sliding fees scale.
  2. To serve as a clinical training site for graduate students in the School Psychology Doctoral Program at Tulane University.
  3. To conduct basic and applied research relevant to child and adolescent mental health.

The Tulane Psychology Clinic is currently offering both in-person and telehealth services. Our in-person clinic is located in the basement of Newcomb Hall on Tulane University’s uptown campus. Newcomb Hall is primarily a classroom space for graduate and undergraduate courses; our clinic is a private, secured space in the basement that is accessed by walking through the university building. Our clinic space is outfitted with HEPA filters. Our clinic staff are fully vaccinated and wear high-quality masks during client contact.

For children and families receiving in person services, we require that both clients and the individuals transporting them to treatment be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, defined as a primary series and, if eligible, boosters. We also require that families mask while in the clinic space. You may contact the clinic with any additional questions regarding our policies and procedures.
